Dr. Rebecca Baxt

Dr. Rebecca Baxt is Medical Director of BAXT CosMedical and a board-certified dermatologist with more than 25 years of experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She joined the practice in 2000, after passing her board exams and working part time in New York and at the office, and later joined full time. She continues the family practice that her parents, Dr. Sherwood Baxt and Dr. Saida Baxt, founded.

She majored in English at the University of Pennsylvania before medical school, then trained at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her dermatology residency at NYU, where she served as chief resident, and she holds an M.B.A. as well as an M.D. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and passed the board certification exam given by that academy. From 2000 until February 2019 she taught residents and medical students at NYU School of Medicine, and each week she saw patients at the NYU dermatology clinic for underserved patients at Bellevue Hospital. She volunteers with the Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, a free clinic for Bergen County residents without health insurance, and she opened a midtown New York office for patients who live or work in New York.

Her special interests include acne, rosacea, skin cancer, BOTOX, facial fillers and laser treatments. She performs all injectables, including BOTOX Cosmetic, Dysport, Juvederm and Restylane, as well as non-invasive lasers and light sources and medical dermatology for skin, hair and nails. She is a certified trainer for Allergan, an AbbVie company, teaching injection technique for BOTOX Cosmetic, Juvederm (including Voluma XC and Volbella XC) and Kybella. She treats both children and adults, and says she keeps up with new devices and procedures by attending conferences and society meetings.
