About
Rachel is a stylist at the studio and began cutting hair in high school. She trained at beauty school after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, then worked at a Pittsburgh salon for almost four years. She later moved to Austin and spent four years at Jose Luis Salon.
Her work covers short cuts and natural, low-maintenance cuts and color. She works on cowlicks, adds fullness to fine or thinning hair, and repairs cuts and color done elsewhere. She works with all hair textures and lengths, from waist length to above the ear, and offers event styling including updos, braids and curling iron sets. She has done hair for photo shoots with local designers and merchandisers, including Modcloth, for local runway shows, and for Christian Siriano at New York Fashion Week.
She became an educator for Sebastian Professional and Wella in salons and schools in Pennsylvania and New York, and taught hair classes across Texas focusing on thinning hair, men's cuts and updos. She won the Sebastian What's Next Awards, a styling competition for stylists across North America.
