Nissan Pilest

Nissan Pilest is a board-certified dermatologist with an MD who practices at Total Dermatology in Irvine, where he is on site daily and heads the aesthetic treatment team. He has practiced in Orange County for over 38 years, dating to 1979, and is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. All dermal filler and neuromodulator injections at the practice are his to perform. His training covers cosmetic, medical and surgical dermatology, with particular depth in fillers and lasers. On the teaching side, he is an Allergan trainer and a national trainer for Allergan, a Diamond level injector for Juvederm and Botox, and a one-on-one training physician for Dysport. He is further a training physician for Juvederm Voluma, Botox, Dysport, Restylane and Radiesse, and a Fraxel Re:Pair CO2 laser training physician for Solta Medical Aesthetics. He teaches physicians at UCI and has served as a medical education faculty member for Bioform/Merz by invitation. He is a professional speaker for Thermage and has worked as an SDS clinical trials physician. He was elected president of the Dermatological Society of Orange County in 2012 and is Hoag affiliate staff in dermatology. When injecting, he takes a conservative approach to Botox and fillers and tailors each Botox session to the patient's facial features and goals. For Juvederm procedures he uses round-tipped microcannulas. He can combine Dysport and Botox in one session, such as for forehead lines, and does the same with Xeomin. The practice calls him Orange County's most experienced cosmetic dermatologist and award-winning, and he has earned Top Doctor honors for years. Honors include selection as one of 100 doctors from 6,000 nominees for the 2018 DCA Top 100 Doctors award, Top Doctor and Physician of Excellence recognition from the Orange County Medical Association for 2015 and 2016, and Dermatologist of the Year from the Consumer Business Review.
