About

That membership requires an approved advanced fellowship lasting one to two years. Her undergraduate degree in sociology came from Brown University, followed by an eight-year combined baccalaureate and MD program at Brown's Warren Alpert School of Medicine within its Program in Liberal Medical Education. She did her dermatology residency at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel-St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, where she trained in caring for skin of color, then spent a year on a Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction fellowship at Mt. Sinai. Afterward she joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, later became Director of the Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Unit, and served as Assistant Program Director of the Johns Hopkins Dermatology Residency Program, where she mentored and taught trainees. She has treated thousands of skin cancers with Mohs and reconstructive surgery. Her surgical work covers complex wound repair, rare tumor pathology and tumors in hard-to-reach locations, and her cosmetic and procedural work includes neurotoxins, fillers, lasers, peels and microneedling.
