Nicole Fae

Nicole is a makeup artist and hair stylist who owns Nicole Fae LLC and works on location in Woodbury, Minnesota. Her professional work began in 2005 with bridal and commercial makeup, and she has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. She owned and operated her own salon for twelve years. Her training includes cosmetology at the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis, advanced makeup artistry at Makeup Designory in Burbank, California, and time in Los Angeles working alongside advertising and fashion photographers.

Her specialties are luxury bridal makeup and commercial makeup, with a focus on on-location wedding beauty for brides and mothers of the bride and groom. Her commercial work covers brand campaigns, corporate headshots, editorial, branding and on-set production, and she has been key artist for short films, feature films, commercial productions and live broadcasts. She has led backstage teams for runway shows, provided makeup and hair at events including the Teen Choice Awards, We Day and national red carpet events, and worked with brides, business owners, television personalities and celebrities. Her work has appeared in People, Star, Us Weekly, Metro Magazine and City Pages, and on Twin Cities Live, ShopNBC and Home Reimagined on HBO with Vern Yip.

Beyond the chair, she is founder and president of The Annex Beauty Association, which provides continuing education, mentorship and business resources for beauty professionals. She developed a safety and sanitation course that Minnesota and other states require every three years and is a course creator for board-approved continuing education in Minnesota and Texas. She also leads the She Owns It platform for women, works as a confidence coach with Dress for Success, and created the Nicole Fae cosmetic and skincare line.
