Nia Jones owns and runs The Nappy Sanctuary, where she is known as the Nappy Coach. She began working with hair as a teenager and has spent more than six years in the natural hair field. She completed her training at Ogle School of Hair, Skin, and Nails in 2010. She is a certified life coach through the Global Institute for Coaches and Entrepreneur Inc., which she joined in 2019. Her work centres on growing healthy locs and on hair care as a route to building confidence.
