Nate Wendt

Nate Wendt founded Craft Hair Collective and works as a stylist and educator, with roughly 27 years in the hair industry. He completed training at The Aveda Institute of Minneapolis in fall 1998, where he stood out for short hair grooming. Before that, he assisted stylists at an Illinois salon whose team was trained in the Sassoon method. Once his training hours were complete, he worked with Horst Rechelbacher on model imagery for Intelligent Nutrients. In 1999 he started at a Twin Cities salon catering to a premium clientele, where he oversaw locations, served as Artistic Director and trained the staff. He spent 25 years there, keeping his skills current through travel, advanced courses and the design of class curriculums. He also served five years on the board of the Beauty Certified Education Association, a nonprofit education resource center for the industry. He mainly works with short cuts, from fades to razored pixies and bobs of every length.
