About
Mounir M. Wassef founded DCSI and serves as its medical director. He holds board certification in dermatology and in Mohs surgery, is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, and is board-certified in internal medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine.
He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, finishing in the top 7% of his class. His two residencies were both completed at West Palm Hospital, the first in internal medicine and the second in dermatology. His dermatology training spanned general and surgical skin care, Mohs surgery, dermatopathology, phototherapy and lasers.
His main clinical interests are skin cancer detection and treatment, acne care focused on limiting scarring, difficult skin rashes, and cosmetic procedures including lasers, fillers and Botox. He belongs to dermatology and dermatologic surgery societies, a vein and lymphatic society, and osteopathic medical associations at both the national and Florida level.
