About
Monique Jackson holds licensed cosmetologist and licensed cosmetology educator credentials. She works as a natural hair stylist and scalp health specialist. Her career as a stylist took shape after she moved to Pittsburgh in 2009, and earlier she worked in salons along the East Coast, where she was recognized as a Master Stylist at Matrix Concept Salon.
Her training includes formal Master Stylist study, along with continuing coursework in trichology and nutrition. She has taught at Pittsburgh Public Schools, Empire Beauty Group and Arrojo Cosmetology. Her work has included styling for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and she has also collaborated with designers during New York Fashion Week.
Her focus is textured hair, scalp care, hair restoration and natural hair care, including restorative scalp work for hair loss concerns. Guests often come in with shedding, dryness or long-running scalp issues. She has nearly two decades of experience in the beauty industry.
