Monica Constantinescu

Monica Constantinescu, M.D., practices as a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at the Rourk Street location in Myrtle Beach, Suite 185. She is double board-certified. With more than a decade treating patients from varied backgrounds, her approach centers on teaching, prevention and catching skin cancer early. She graduated magna cum laude from Pomona College and went on to medical school at UCLA. An internal medicine internship took place at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. She then spent a year as a research scholar in the Clinical Research Training Program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, studying skin cancer biology. Her dermatology residency was at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by an ACMS/ACGME accredited fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology under Dr. Armand Cognetta in Tallahassee, Florida. Earlier she worked at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, California. She received several patient recognition awards and was named one of Sacramento's Top Doctors five years running. She taught dermatology residents during clinical rotations as a Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Davis School of Medicine, and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
