Mina Amin, MD

Mina Amin, MD, is a board certified dermatologist at California Dermatology Specialists. She earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA with summa cum laude honors and received her medical degree from the University of California Riverside School of Medicine with high honors. Her dermatology training at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center covered medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She was chief resident in the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles dermatology program, where she ran the resident cosmetic clinic, and afterward joined the program as an attending physician. Today she is a clinical professor at the Kaiser Permanente Medical School, and she has overseen and instructed residents in the UCLA Harbor dermatology program, along with medical students. Her research record includes more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in dermatology, and she has presented at national dermatology meetings. Her writing has appeared in Vogue, Allure, Glamour, SELF, Marie Claire, HuffPost and HealthCentral. Helping patients understand how to look after their skin is a priority for her.
