About
Mimi Lee founded Shear Love in 2011 and works there as its stylist. She is known for precision haircutting. Her career took her through Los Angeles and New York before she returned to Atlanta, and along the way she taught at the Paul Mitchell Academy and worked as an educator for Sebastian and Davines Professional. Before opening the salon, she shifted from creative director to entrepreneur, and she has more than 23 years of industry experience. She trained at Vidal Sassoon and learned from mentors at Arrojo, Wella, Aveda and Davines. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, including wedding hair in a feature slideshow, and she styles hair for NYFW shows. She also creates glam hair and makeup for music festivals and runs pop-up salons at summer festivals nationwide. In 2017 she traveled to groom and teach underprivileged children about self-care, and members of the Shear Love Atlanta community helped make that trip happen.
