Mikala

Mikala runs True North Artistry, where she works as a hairstylist and mentor. Across more than 19 years in hair, she has worked in salon chairs and on editorial shoots, and spent eight years as a platform artist and educator. She has also overseen brand education and sales across three states. Her main hair work covers gray coverage and blending, lived-in color, and hidden row extensions. She completed womb health practitioner training through the Womb Health Academy, which addresses womb clearing and timeline healing. She also completed a 200-hour teacher training in Journey into Power yoga at Khali Yoga Center in Charlotte, NC, built on Baptiste yoga principles and Light Year Leadership. She has more than five years of experience as a mentee, student and coaching client. Her mentoring blends conversation with somatic work. It suits people who are already doing self-work, can name what they want and can see what gets in the way, rather than those looking for a ready-made plan. She created the ELEVATED event series and runs it from start to finish.
