Michelle Hong

Michelle Hong founded NYC The Team and works there as a colorist. She has about 20 years in the salon industry, beginning at L'Oreal, where she worked on platform and taught as an educator. She later worked as a colorist at the Frederic Fekkai flagship salon on Fifth Avenue, specializing in balayage and corrective color. For the Frederic Fekkai training program she served as an educator, travelling the country to teach new recruits and run seminars on color methods and trends. In 2012 she founded Brush in the Flatiron neighborhood of New York and trained each of its stylists.

Her work centers on balayage and corrective color. She counts loyal, elite clients among her base and works with model agencies and with influencers in social, fashion and beauty.
