Michael Davitt, M.D.

Michael Davitt, M.D. is a plastic surgeon who offers cosmetic procedures for the face, breasts and body, and he will join Folsom Plastic Surgery in August 2026. He trained through a plastic surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and a general surgery residency at UCSF East Bay in Oakland. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the UC Davis School of Medicine and a BA in Psychology, cum laude, from Pepperdine University. His research centers on regenerative medicine and scar minimization. From 2019 to 2021 he was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University, in its Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where he studied fibrosis and scarring. In 2020 he completed a transplant and tissue engineering fellowship at Stanford and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. He received the Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year award from UCSF East Bay General Surgery in 2023. He is board eligible with the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and board certified with the American Board of Surgery. His memberships include the American College of Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society, the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association and the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society. His particular interest is breast and body contouring, including tummy tuck surgery and advanced liposuction. Consultations include a review of medical records, an evaluation of the area of concern, and a discussion of which treatment options may suit the patient.
