Michael Davitt

Michael Davitt, M.D., is a plastic surgeon set to join Folsom Plastic Surgery in August 2026, bringing his practice back to the Sacramento area. He performs cosmetic procedures on the face, breast and body. His main focus is contouring of the breast and body, which includes abdominoplasty and newer liposuction methods.

He holds an M.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and a B.A. in Psychology, cum laude, from Pepperdine University. He completed general surgery training at UCSF East Bay in Oakland, California, where the general surgery program gave him the Claude H. Organ, Jr. and Arthur J. Hunnicutt Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year Award in 2023. He trained in plastic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

From 2019 to 2021 he was a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University, where his research covered fibrosis and scarring. In that role he mentored medical and undergraduate student researchers and cared for outpatients with complex wound care needs. He finished a transplant and tissue engineering fellowship at Stanford University and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto in 2020. He has published research in regenerative medicine and scar minimization.
