Melissa Mullaney Jorstad

Melissa Mullaney Jorstad founded Noella. After cosmetology school she moved to Boston, working first at an Aveda salon in Burlington and later at a salon on Newbury Street. Her styling credits include Boston Fashion Week, editorial shoots for Stuff at Night Magazine, charity events and weddings. Earlier, she wrote and taught an apprentice program at James Joseph Salon in Plymouth, covering guest services and foiling. She is also the author of The Noella Way, a workbook on business and guest service for luxury hairstylists, and is developing an event space where she plans to teach from it. Brand education includes New York programs from Oribe, Davines and Bumble and Bumble, Los Angeles training with Wella, and Aveda and Vidal Sassoon sessions in London and Santa Monica. She holds a bachelor's degree in small business entrepreneurship from UMass Dartmouth, attends hair education classes in the US and Europe, and has Goldwell Master Colorist and Stylist programs planned. Client reviews on the site praise her color and haircut work and say she listens closely to what clients want. Listed bridal rates are $225 for bridal style, $175 for a bridal trial, $175 per person for bridal party attendants and $100 for a flower girl.
