Melanie Ho Erb, MD

Melanie Ho Erb, MD is an eyelid and oculoplastic surgeon who runs a solo private practice in Irvine, California. She opened it after a decade of practicing elsewhere. Her formal name is Dr. Erb, and she also goes by Dr. Ho, Dr. Ho Erb and Dr. Melanie. She is double board-certified in ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery. She earned a bachelor's degree at UCLA and a medical degree at UC Irvine, where she also completed a surgery internship and an ophthalmology residency. She then took a two-year oculoplastic surgery fellowship at Eyesthetica in Los Angeles, an ASOPRS-approved program, and afterward joined Eyesthetica as an oculoplastic surgeon. Much of her work is eyelid surgery, supplemented by neurotoxins, dermal fillers and laser treatments for signs of aging around the eyes and face. She is an Asian eyelid specialist and has performed thousands of eyelid surgeries and cosmetic injections. Patients travel to her from across the United States and abroad. She has taught oculoplastic fellows at Eyesthetica and ophthalmology residents at UC Irvine and USC, and she has written book chapters and journal articles.
