Mel Vega

Mel Vega is a Creative II stylist at the Capitol Hill location of Cole Stevens Salon, where she joined in 2024. She brings 15 years of experience in the beauty industry.

She trained as a cosmetologist and educator with Aveda and graduated in 2010. She later became a Master Colorist while working in salons on the West Coast.

Her work centers on color placement and application, which she approaches through color theory, and on custom color and blonding, including highlights, balayage, ombre and foilyage. She also creates lived-in finishes on textured hair, and each service is shaped around the individual guest.
