About
Megan Hudgin is the owner and stylist at Megan Hudgin Hair, working from her own suite in Chicago's Gold Coast. She has been in the hair industry for twelve years and started in color, which is still her first love, before expanding into extensions. She trained at Paul Mitchell The School Chicago, completed a two-year color apprentice program at a Gold Coast salon, and worked in several assisting positions before working for herself.
Her career includes opening a first suite in Chicago in 2021, then moving to Houston, where she built a clientele and worked for herself for three years. One client has followed her from Chicago to Houston and has been with her for about nine years. She returned to Chicago, worked part time, and opened her full-time studio at Sola Salon Studios in 2026.
She handles color and extensions for each client from start to finish and has worn extensions herself for more than ten years. Megan is certified in hair extensions since 2020, matches extension color herself and reads every consultation request. Many clients come to her from past stylists because she does both color and extensions.
