Marisa

Marisa is a hair cutting specialist and stylist at La Vida Salon and Spa in East Hanover, New Jersey. She has seven years of hair industry experience as of January 2025. She began with color, highlighting and styling before turning her focus to haircutting. During the COVID-19 pandemic she cut hair out of a garage that had been converted into a salon, and afterward she moved to a smaller salon to build her clientele. Haircutting is where she concentrates most. Her favorite cuts to create are shags, bobs and bangs. Reviews on the salon's home page mention her cuts for curly hair, along with her balayage and red color work and her keratin treatments. Clients are willing to let her try new techniques on their hair. She believes there is no single method for cutting hair, and that each stylist develops their own. Since 2024 she has taught haircutting techniques to the stylists and assistants at La Vida.
