Marion Simms

Marion Simms owns SkinSense Wellness and works there as its aesthetician. She was born and trained in the UK and holds CIDESCO, ITEC and CBTC qualifications. Across more than forty years in skin care, she has worked as an aesthetician, lecturer, consultant and writer. After time in Europe and South Africa, she moved to the United States to work as a technical director. In 1988 she co-founded Skin Inc, a trade magazine published by Allured Publishing. The magazine is described as a top source of hands-on training for beauty professionals. She has taught at the London College of Beauty Therapy and at East Surrey College in Redhill, England. She also gives talks on skin care to organizations, business groups and schools, covering the facial experience, home care, menopause and aromatherapy, reading labels, and client history forms for professionals. Her practice centers on tailored facials that pair electrotherapy with carefully chosen products. She treats teenage acne, extreme sensitivity and aging skin, and her product advice draws on what she has learned from the science of cosmetics.
