Maria

Maria works as a stylist and color technician at Defining Image Salon, a role she has held since 2009, when she came on to sharpen her skills and deepen her knowledge of color. Her professional start came in 2007 at a barber shop in Portland. She trained at the International Beauty School, then learned ombre and balayage under Dimitrios Tsioumas and advanced color principles under Derrick Zeno. She holds certification in Keratherapy smoothing systems. Clients come to her with every hair texture and length, and she handles highlights, lowlights, corrective work and all forms of color. Short, edgy cuts, pixie styles and volume for fine hair are areas she also enjoys. Her stated goal is to help each client get the most from their hair while keeping the visit relaxed, comfortable and pleasant.
