Maria Ferrer Riggert

Maria Ferrer Riggert is the owner and founder of RUUT Salon, where she works as a Master Stylist. A professional since 2004, she has worked as an Aveda color educator and as a salon educator and coach since 2007. Her other roles include runway hair dresser and hair colorist.

Her runway credits include New York Fashion Week shows since 2016 for designers Brandon Maxwell, John Elliot, Simon Miller and Calvin Luo. She was listed for LA Fashion Week in 2013 as lead hair dresser for Pearson Knight, and in 2009 she was a guest artist and hair colorist on the Aveda Unplugged Tour in Atlanta. Her work has been featured by the Aveda Unplugged Tour, Latest Hairstyles, Hairbrained and other publications. Best Self Magazine nominated her as Best Hair Colorist in Atlanta in 2014.

She graduated from the Aveda Institute in New Orleans and is certified in precision haircutting by Vidal Sassoon, a credential earned in 2016 in Santa Monica, California. She also holds a Hair Color Magic certification from the Aveda Advanced Academy, earned in 2010 in New York. Her advanced study has been with DJ Muldoon, David Adams, David Wagner, Ian Michael Black, Jacob Khan, Ana Karzis and DJ Freed. She has attended the Aveda Congress between 2008 and 2018, the Serious Business Conference between 2005 and 2017, and the Inspiring Champions Conference in 2015.
