Maria has been a hair stylist since 2004, spending ten years working with Aveda in Bedford before later working at an Aveda lifestyle salon in California, focusing on color and precision cutting. She specializes in cutting, coloring and balayage, as well as cutting and styling curly hair. Maria trained at the Learning Institute for Beauty Sciences. Her training includes Rusk razor cutting, Schwarzkopf color education, Schwarzkopf advanced highlighting with Davines product knowledge training, Aveda Congress and Martin Parsons formal styles training, and creative haircutting with Susan Ford. Further study includes an advanced color class with Kim Vo, Aveda color correction versus color change, hair color magic essentials with Luis Gonzalez, advanced cutting with Dell Miller, advanced cutting of modern bobs with Hans, Aveda modern lightening and men's core cutting, and Dom Dom texture cutting. Maria holds a Simply Smooth keratin treatment certification.
