Lydia Lutz owns and manages Artistry By Lyd and works as its hair stylist and makeup artist. Her makeup career began in 2006, and she has over 20 years of experience in hair and makeup. She has worked as a makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics and Tom Ford Beauty.

Her specialties include bridal makeup, special occasion looks and everyday makeup, along with hand-painted highlights and custom dimensional and lived-in color. She also works on smoothing treatments for frizz and texture, dry cutting, trending cuts, and men's precision cuts, scissor work and fades. She has experience with cultural weddings from the Middle East, South Asia and East Asia.

Her bridal makeup is built to hold up in humid conditions, applied in thin layers of long-wear, waterproof formulas over primer and set with powder and spray. Her soft glam uses lightweight, water-based foundation with powder only on oily areas. She also styles hair for hijab-wearing brides, with secure pinning and structured updos under a hijab or veil. Clients are served one-on-one in a private suite, and a plan to restore healthy hair is offered for clients whose earlier services did not go as planned.
