About
Liz Gizelle Rodriguez owns 217 Beauty, where she works as the makeup artist. She started as a part-time makeup artist for MAC, then moved into a full-time role as a Certified MAC Artist and earned the MAC Fashion Show Certification within her first year full-time. Her MAC training spanned color theory and a range of looks, from era-specific and bridal to on-camera, photographic, camouflage, contouring and HD airbrush work. She later rose to a managerial position, running operations and staff across four MAC locations and training many artists along the way. Her portfolio includes ten seasons of New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park, plus work with designers such as Malandrino, Diesel, DKNY and Jill Stuart. Her makeup credits include Vi Magazine, Danity Kane, the 2007 NBA Calendar Wives and Broadway Cares. Starting in 2011, she did makeup for the celebrity agents featured on the HGTV series Selling New York, among them Michele Kleier, Deborah Lupard, Shaun Osher and Lucie Holt. She has also worked with singer, dancer and stylist O'Neal McKnight and talk show host Cat Greenleaf, and handles hair and makeup for guests on The Way Home.
