About
Lena Makushina owns Maksim Spa. She has been giving facials for over 30 years and has carried out extractions for over 25. Earlier in her career she spent many years treating problem skin at upscale spas in Europe and the United States, among them Susan Seminelli and Bliss Spa. Her specialty is difficult and problem skin, acne included. She holds that skin concerns can stem from diet, hormones, emotional balance or outside influences, so she addresses both inside and outside care with clients. She does extractions herself and prefers that clients not extract at home. For between-visit care she recommends a home microneedling roller, used once or twice a week alongside monthly facials. Skincare consultations are also offered.
