Lena (Helena Camacho)

Helena Camacho, known as Lena, founded The Waxing Society and works there as a licensed esthetician with close to 16 years in the field. The studio was set up as a more personal alternative, with services held in a private suite. Lena walks clients through each step before beginning and shapes every session around the person in the chair rather than a fixed routine. In her view, a visit covers more than removing hair; the aim is to help clients feel at ease in their own bodies, and she regards waxing as a form of self-care. Her services include full-body, facial, Brazilian and brow waxing for women and men, and the suite welcomes clients of all genders.
