Leigh A. Ruelo, PA-C

Leigh A. Ruelo, PA-C, is a physician assistant who has worked at Bakal Dermatology since 2006. She provides general dermatologic care, including treatment of acne and warts, psoriasis care, and skin cancer checks. Before starting graduate school, she worked for two years as a research assistant at the University of Michigan. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Albion College, received in 2002, and a master's in physician assistant studies from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, received in 2006. She received the Sara Somers Rupert Scholarship while in graduate school. She belongs to the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Illinois Society of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and she is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a DermCare team member.
