Debra A. Bakal, M.D.

Debra A. Bakal, M.D., has practiced medicine with the group since 1995, working in private practice in Hoffman Estates. She is affiliated with St. Alexius Medical Center. Her clinical interests cover general skin medicine, dermatology for children, skin infections, and allergic contact dermatitis. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Yale University in 1985 and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1989. She did her internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1990, then completed an internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1992 and a fellowship there in 1993. She finished her dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in 1996. She is board certified as a dermatologist, a certification she received in 1996, and held board certification in internal medicine from 1992 to 2002.
