Laverne Trottie

Laverne Trottie owns Salon Z Hair Studio. She has more than 24 years in the hair industry, many of them in New York City, where she worked and built a clientele before opening her own salon.

She trained at Empire Beauty School, where she completed the remaining hours needed for the Georgia State Board. She is a Master Colorist and completed Goldwell's Masters Coloring Associate Program. She specializes in cut and color. She graduated from Empire with the Highest Achiever's Award and placed first in two trend cut and color categories there.

Her awards include a first-place finish for cut and color at the Orlando Premier Hair Show, a 2012 first-place regional win and Grand Finale win in the Clairol Go For Pro cut and color competition, a 2013 Icon Award Legend in the Making recognition, and a Modern Salon Magazine feature as one to watch. Clients have praised her warm energy, attention to detail and customer service. She keeps current through continued education and is committed to the development of her staff.
