Lauren Mae Wilson

Lauren Mae Wilson owns The Hair Extensions Expert, an extensions studio in Alamo, California, where she specializes in hair extensions and non-surgical hair replacement. She began working in a Danville salon at 16, in reception and salon support, and started at Patrick Evan Salon in Union Square in 2010. She spent about ten years building a business in San Francisco, where she opened a private studio in 2015, before moving to Alamo, which has been her home base for roughly five years. Her training includes graduating with High Honors from Paul Mitchell The School, and she trained at Vidal Sassoon, Bumble and Bumble University and Yuko Academy. She studied precision cutting, hair color and Japanese hair straightening. She is certified in fusion, micro link, hand-tied and tape-in extension methods, and with Great Lengths and Hairdreams among other extension brands. She also passed the State Board exam on the first attempt. Her work centers on link and tape extensions, and she works with women who want fullness, added length or support through hair loss. Link extensions are removed slowly and patiently. For tape extension clients, attention to detail and a meticulous approach matter most.
