Lars Vales-Martone

Lars Vales-Martone founded Transcendent Skincare, where he works as an esthetician and electrologist. He holds a NYS Esthetics license and has been licensed and practicing for more than six years. His specialty is skincare and hair removal, with a particular focus on gender-affirming services. He trained in electrolysis for 120 hours at Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics, where he later taught courses in facials, machines, skin anatomy and histology, infection control, waxing and skin analysis. He is currently completing a further 600 hours of electrolysis study at the Berkowits School of Electrolysis. He is certified in laser and electrolysis by the Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal and by Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics. He has also trained in Brazilian waxing, dermaplaning and chemical peels, and holds Barbicide and Prevention certification in infection control. Before recommending a permanent hair removal treatment, he asks about any past laser experience. Electrolysis clients choose their exfoliant with him based on their skin, and he removes underarm hair before underarm electrolysis. For waxing, he uses speed-waxing unless it is unsuitable for a client's skin, hair or pain tolerance. For sugaring, he uses a loose-paste method and applies pressure after each wax pull.
