About
Larry Lickstein, MD, FACS, founded Elle Aesthetic Arts and Plastic Surgery and serves as its medical director. He earned a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and an AB in molecular biology cum laude from Princeton University. His training includes advanced surgical study at Harvard Medical School, a general surgery internship and residency at Beth Israel Hospital, a chief residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with re-certification through 2031, and was previously certified by the American Board of Surgery from 1999 to 2009. He holds Boards in general surgery and plastic surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is licensed to practice medicine in Virginia and Maryland, and previously held licenses in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Galderma selected him as a GAIN Trainer, and he previously served on the speaker's bureau for Zeltiq, later Allergan, for CoolSculpting. He spent six years on the faculty of Cleveland Clinic Florida and has lectured at Georgetown University and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
His practice focuses on breast augmentation, body contouring, post-weight-loss plastic surgery, facial rejuvenation and non-surgical treatments, including tummy tucks, mommy makeovers and post-weight-loss body contouring. He has over 25 years of experience. He has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed to UpToDate and medical textbooks. Castle Connolly has recognized him as a Top Doctor in plastic surgery each year from 2004 through 2026, Washingtonian Magazine named him a Top Doctor in 2022 and 2023, and Northern Virginia Magazine listed him as a Top Plastic Surgeon from 2018 to 2024 and in 2026.
