La-Ri

La-Ri founded La-Radiance O.N.E. Salon in Lansdale and serves as its Master Stylist and owner. Hands-on experience began at 13, assisting with shampoos at Simply Michelle's salon in Philadelphia, and a salon set up in a parent's basement followed at 14.

Clothing store work, helping shoppers choose their look, came before cosmetology became the main focus. The first brick-and-mortar location, a combined salon and boutique, was later bought. Personal stylist roles were offered during this period, but cosmetology stayed the priority and those offers went unpursued.

Nearly 30 years as a licensed cosmetologist shape the services: hair styling, makeup, and scalp and skin treatments for men, women and children. Sew-in weaves were learned from stylist Denise Brown. The monthly wellness workshops at the salon were started on the owner's initiative.
