Kristy Poux

Kristy Poux owns The Silk Mill Retreat and works across its massage, esthetics and astrology services. She is a licensed massage therapist through the Virginia Board of Nursing and a licensed esthetician through the Virginia Board of Cosmetology. She has about 18 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist and has worked in medical massage clinics, wellness centers and day spas. She has also worked backstage with the Paramore, Foreigner and Luke Bryan tours.

She began massage training at Career Training Solutions in 2004 and graduated in 2005. She earned an Associates in Massage Therapy from Heritage Institute in 2008, trained at Clarity Beauty Academy, graduating in 2016, and has completed a course in Master Esthetics. She has studied barefoot massage methods from several schools and Ayurvedic bodywork, and has studied tarot, astrology, sound healing, crystal healing, Reiki and astro herbalism.

Her focus is barefoot massage, Ayurvedic bodywork and astrology-based bodywork, which is built from a client's birth date, time and location and current transits relative to the natal chart. She offers intuitive tarot readings and natal, transit and solar return astrology readings, and she combines astrology, cosmic herbalism, tarot and bodywork in sessions. She also creates cosmic herbalism scrubs and oils for packages based on each client's chart. Her work centers on slow beauty, with whole plant based products used in daily self-care.
