About
Kristi Mefford founded Kinky Rootz Salon and is a licensed natural hair stylist with more than 20 years of experience in natural hair care. Her career includes service in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician.
She is also the founder and creative force behind the Queen of Kinks Natural Hair Essentials brand. She leads Rooted in H.E.R., an initiative that connects sustainability and equity for women and youth.
Her work centers on personalized care and on creating a trusted space where Black and Brown women feel welcome to embrace their natural hair.
