About
Kiara Roundtree is the loctitian, loc stylist and owner of iRetwist Locs. She has more than eight years of loc care experience. She began retwisting and styling locs for close friends and family a few months after starting her own locs, and did not charge for that work. Before turning to locs she worked for more than ten years in property management, leaving that field in 2020 to build a loc care business.
Her earlier salon work includes working at a celebrity beauty salon in Hollywood, where she worked alongside stylists with celebrity clients. She later moved to a luxury barbershop in downtown Los Angeles after a client referral. After moving to Alexandria, Virginia in summer 2023, she ran her own salon suite there, and about a year and a half later she returned to Los Angeles.
Her specialties include root maintenance by crochet, instant locs, loc installs, loc repair and reattachment, loc combining and loc extensions. She continues to travel periodically to the East Coast to serve Virginia-based clients, and her focus for 2026 is rebuilding her clientele in Los Angeles. Clients can expect prompt, polite and professional service, and she takes time to get to know them as well as their locs.
