About
Kelsie Angst is the founder and head stylist at Studio Vera. She began her career in Chicago and has worked in Detroit for more than a decade, starting at West Village. In 2022 she co-founded Lynwood Studio in Ferndale, Michigan, and later launched Studio Vera in Detroit.
Her training includes time with Edo Salon in San Francisco, Sal Salcedo in Los Angeles, Johnny Ramirez in Miami, and Lo Wheeler Davis in Los Angeles. She specializes in precision cutting and dimensional color, and she has a particular focus on redheads.
She focuses on continual growth and education, builds a supportive team, and aims to create opportunities for stylists in the city.
