Katherine Quiel owns The Beauty Factorie and works as a professional makeup artist and educator. She began her career in 1999 when she joined M.A.C Cosmetics, where she later worked as a pro regional trainer for the brand. She has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry.
Her credits span fashion, music and screen work, including makeup for New York and Miami Fashion Week, NFL and NBA dance teams and The Grammys. She has contributed makeup to film and commercials since 2020, with credits including Harvey (2021) and Legacy of Love (2020). Her work has been published in magazines in the United States, Italy and London, and she has created looks for celebrities, writers, scientists and other personalities, with listed clients including Steven Tyler, Viola Davis and Cyndi Lauper.
