About
Kat Gold founded Katalyst Hair, which she owns, and works there as a hairstylist and as an extensions and wig specialist. She is a master colorist and cutting stylist with more than 20 years in the field. Her skills cover design, custom fitting, styling, blending, color, extensions and wigs. Hairdressing came to her after she settled in Los Angeles, where she studied at Parsons School of Design in the 1990s. Her work in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles ran up to 2015, when she moved to South Florida. Past projects span print, television, film and New York Fashion Week. For more than two decades she has been a Great Lengths and HairUWear partner as a wig and extensions specialist. Clients who come to her include people losing hair or experiencing thinning due to age, genetics or medical conditions, as well as those wanting a fresh look, added volume or a dramatic transformation. She works with Jon Renau, Hairdreams, Balmain, Hairdo and Raquel Welch to supply wigs, toppers and hairpieces, and she handles hair system fittings, alterations, blending and styling as ongoing maintenance.
