About
Kasmine founded Be Okay Hair while still a student at Fort Valley State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in 2016. She worked briefly in a corporate role after graduating, then rebranded the business as Be Okay Braids in 2019 and became a full-time entrepreneur. She now runs Be Okay Braids and its BraidScape product line.
She works as a licensed barber and a professional braider. She earned a Texas barber license in 2025 and went through barber school while developing BraidScape.
Her braiding focuses on knotless braids, men's braid designs and natural braid styles for women. Hair health, comfort and how long a style lasts guide each design, and tension stays low. She has worked with a high-profile clientele.
