About
Karen Desteuben owns Moonstone Beauty Studio, where she serves as lead esthetician. She has been working in the beauty field for more than 15 years and holds a licensed esthetician credential and a nail technician credential. In 2014 she earned an esthetics instructor license. Early on, she worked at an advanced training institute for licensed professionals, helping salon and spa owners with professional-grade skin care and continuing education classes. After gaining her instructor license she taught advanced theory and product knowledge while also working hands-on in busy full-service salons and spas. She went back to teaching in 2020 in an undergraduate program, and opened the studio in March 2021.
Since 2012 she has also studied and practiced energy work. She holds Level 2 Reiki Practitioner status, is a Level 4 graduate of the Lightworkers Healing Method, and offers Reiki and Luminous Alignment sessions.
