Kara Montminy

Kara Montminy is a physician assistant (PA-C) at BioAge Health in Eagan. Her medical career began in 1993 as a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home in Crosby, North Dakota. She studied at the University of North Dakota on a nursing scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Cardiopulmonary Science. She became a respiratory therapist in 1998 and practiced in that role for several years. She later earned a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and has been a board-certified physician assistant since 2008. Her hospital experience includes working as an internal medicine hospitalist physician assistant at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, then joining the lung transplant team there before leaving the institution. She next joined a plastic surgery group in the Twin Cities, where she extended her medical training and gained experience in aesthetic practices. Plastic and reconstructive surgery and aesthetics have long interested her.
