Kara Hoverson

Kara Hoverson is a physician at WellAve Dermatology, where she co-leads the Mohs surgery team. She is a board certified dermatologist and a Mohs surgeon with fellowship training, and her credentials are FAAD, FACMS and MD. She earned a BS in microbiology from North Dakota State University, graduating magna cum laude, then did graduate work in virology. She finished first in her class at Chicago Medical School. Her intern year was at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, followed by a dermatology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She stayed on there for a year as a general dermatologist before being chosen for fellowship training. That fellowship was a combined program of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, held at Skincare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, under Dr. Thomas Rohrer.
