About
Joshua Brady, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who leads Tampa Bay Dermatology in Tampa, Florida. Board certification comes from the American Board of Dermatology, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. In 2026 Tampa Magazine named him to its Top Doctors list for dermatology.
His dermatology training covers medical, surgical and cosmetic work. He began at Syracuse University, where he earned degrees in biology and forensic science, graduated magna cum laude and completed a minor in psychology. He then received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, graduating with distinction and joining the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. An internship at the University of Central Florida in Orlando was followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he served as chief resident and was chosen to lead his residency class in the final year.
Research output includes more than 15 peer-reviewed publications on melanoma disparities, pediatric dermatology and emerging treatment approaches. He has presented work at several American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meetings. Among his professional groups are the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Medical Association.
His practice includes skin cancer screening, acne, eczema, psoriasis and other medical conditions, as well as surgical and cosmetic procedures. He sees patients of every age, from infants with eczema to adults managing their skin cancer risk. Before Botox, he goes over possible side effects such as headache or a temporary droop of the eyelid, and he sets doses based on muscle strength, facial structure and the outcome the patient wants. He also treats rashes, including contact dermatitis, hives, fungal rashes and drug rashes. Sebaceous hyperplasia is treated with electrodessication, and hyperpigmentation, including melasma and sun spots, receives treatment as well.
