Joseph A. Russo

Joseph A. Russo is a plastic surgeon and the founder of Joseph A Russo, MD in Newton Centre, Massachusetts, where he has run a private practice since 1991. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is Harvard-trained. His education includes a medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, a general surgery residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and a plastic surgery residency at New England Deaconess Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital with Harvard Medical School. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Massachusetts Society of Plastic Surgeons and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Massachusetts Medical Society. His surgical work centers on breast procedures, including augmentation, implant removal, revision and reconstruction, and on lifts for loose or sagging skin, such as facelifts, neck lifts and blepharoplasty. He also works in non-surgical body contouring with CoolSculpting, CoolTone and Renuvion, and he has trained other practitioners in off-label uses of Botox. He does surgical work of a smaller scale at his Newton office and at Milton Hospital, and he serves as Medical Director for several area spas and salons. He supervises Medical Aesthetics Associates, a practice of nurse providers. He is a trainer for Allergan and Galderma and an Allergan medical institute instructor. He founded Aesthetic Mentor, a school that teaches doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses injectables. Education is a recurring theme in his work, for medical professionals and patients alike. He is recognized as a New Beauty Top Doctor. The media often asks him to explain procedures and new practices, and he has appeared on WAAF 107.3 FM, WMKK 93.7 FM, Kiss 108 FM, Boston Magazine and Channel 7 WHDH News. He also hosted the radio talk show Change Your Life on WRKO 680 AM.
