Jon B. Turk

Jon B. Turk is a facial plastic surgeon with two board certifications who sees patients at the Manhattan and Woodbury offices of Jon Turk MD. He holds a Clinical Professor appointment at NYU Langone Medical Center, has practiced since 1988, and has more than 30 years of experience in facial plastic surgery and non-invasive facial rejuvenation. His surgical career has centered exclusively on the face.

He earned a bachelor's degree from Amherst College and graduated with honors from SUNY-Downstate Medical College, where he was elected a Clarence Dennis Surgical Scholar. He completed a residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, then served as a fellow in cranio-maxillofacial surgery at University Hospital of Bern in Switzerland, and is a fellowship-trained reconstructive surgeon. He was selected for the Face to Face program of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and worked on a surgical team in Croatia that performed reconstructive surgery on victims of the Bosnian war.

Rhinoplasty is a large part of his work. He has performed more than 3,000 aesthetic and functional nasal surgeries, including liquid rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty for patients who have had an earlier nose operation. He also developed the Jawline Necklift to address early aging in the lower face and neck. Alongside surgery, he has been adding non-surgical, minimally invasive procedures, and he uses the latest technology in his offices to minimize scarring. Patients travel to him from across the U.S. and abroad.

According to the practice, he has been listed among America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly, New York Magazine and Newsday, and he was voted one of New York's top surgeons for several years running in a peer-voted list. New York Magazine's America's Best Doctors list has featured him for several years, and the magazine has named him one of America's Top Plastic Surgeons, with emphasis on cosmetic nasal surgery. He has also appeared in print and broadcast media as an expert in facial results, including an episode of Inside Edition, according to the practice.
