Dr. Jon Turk

Dr. Jon Turk is a facial plastic surgeon with two board certifications, one from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and one from the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and holds a Clinical Professor appointment at NYU Langone and Bellevue Hospital. He has practiced since 1988, with more than 30 years devoted to facial procedures and non-invasive facial rejuvenation, and his surgical work has been limited to the face.

He completed a residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, followed by a fellowship in cranio-maxillofacial surgery at University Hospital of Bern (Inselspital) in Switzerland, which qualifies him as a fellowship-trained reconstructive surgeon. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College and attended SUNY-Downstate Medical College, where he graduated with honors as a Clarence Dennis Surgical Scholar. Early in his career he was invited into the American Academy's Face to Face program and joined a surgical team that performed reconstructive surgery in Croatia on victims of the Bosnian war. He also treats facial injuries and trauma, including the aesthetic concerns that follow them.

Rhinoplasty is a major focus of his practice. He has performed more than 3,000 aesthetic and functional nasal surgeries, including revision cases after earlier nose surgery. He developed liquid rhinoplasty, a non-surgical nose-shaping technique, and the Jawline Necklift, designed to address early aging of the lower face and neck. He also performs facial liposculpture to contour the face and neck and is a Master Certified Facial Filler Injector. His practice now includes non-surgical minimally invasive procedures. He coined the term Biofacial for full-face collagen stimulation through PRF or Selphyl infusion. Patients travel to him from across the U.S. and abroad, and he uses current technology in the office to minimize scarring.

The practice describes him as one of New York's top plastic surgeons. It says he has been listed among America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly, New York Magazine and Newsday, and that he was voted one of New York's top surgeons for several years running in a peer list of physicians' choices. He has also been featured in New York Magazine's America's Best Doctors listing, on Inside Edition, and in a New York Post article.
